Location
The Black Firs Guest House is in a village location about a mile and a half from the airport. It’s within walking distance of Birmingham Business Park so ideal for anyone attending a meeting there.
Parking
There is room for guests to park in the paved driveway area in front of the house whilst they are staying at the guest house. There’s no long term parking thoug, so you’d have to book the car into one of the official airport car parks.
Check-in/out and breakfast
Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is by 10 am. A full English or Continental Breakfast is served between 7.30 am and 9 am.
Shuttle bus
There are no airport transfers provided by Black Firs Guest House. A taxi to the terminal building will cost about £6 or £7.
Hotel facilities
The house has a big back garden and patio area. There’s also a breakfast room and a lounge where guests can hang out or watch TV. The owners can advise you on good local restaurants for an evening meal.
Guest rooms
Double and single rooms are available – 8 in total. They’re all individually decorated and each has its own bath or shower room, although not all of them are en suite. The rooms come with a TV and tea and coffee tray and they can lend you an iron if your clothes have got a bit crumpled in your suitcase. There’s a complimentary WiFi connection for guests.

Unfortunately there aren’t any adaptations for disabled guests.
Directions
For those arriving by car – exit the M6 at Junction 4 and take the A446 North towards Lichfield and Coleshill. Take the 1st left off the dual carriageway island, signposted for the NEC (this is only 200 yards from the motorway island). Continue along this road where you will approach another island and go straight over it. Then take the 2nd turning on your right. Black Firs is signposted approximately 100 yards on the right. The nearest train station is Birmingham International.
